The second-hand marketplace Shoppers Share Displeasure Over Size Modifications
Members of the platform have expressed outrage following a change that caused listings displaying inaccurate size information.
The second-hand shopping app has altered its sizing categories for female and kids' apparel but did not contact all users about the change.
Social Media Backlash
Numerous buyers and vendors have taken to social media claiming that product pages now present an altered size classification versus the original listing because of the remapping.
Vinted explained the revised method more closely matches comparable marketplaces.
The platform has recommended to check their listings and manually change the size if necessary, which has left users frustrated.
Sizing System Changes
Earlier, the sizes had both a single numeric size and a letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - like an L measurement used to be a 12 but is now a UK 16-18.

Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
Another user, located in Scotland, said garments she listed with size 14 tags were appearing on the platform as larger sizing 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they may become frustrated," she stated.
Required Changes
Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, stated she felt frustrated by the change as she had to manually change the measurements for "each individual item".
"This situation is especially annoying, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she stated.
Service Background
The platform boasts over 100 million shoppers, with 18 million British users.
It has become a favored option compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion where an unanticipated change on the platform has faced criticism: previously, the service retracted a modification to its shipping options due to shopper criticism.
